The highly anticipated S. 3211 Diabetes Self Management Training Act of 2010 was introduced by Senator Shaheen (D-NH) on April 15, 2010.

The language of this legislation mirrors that of H.R. 2425 introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives on May 14, 2009 to improve access to diabetes self-management training (DSMT) by designating certified diabetes educators as certified providers for purposes of outpatient diabetes self-management training services under part B of the Medicare Program.

Take a brief moment to send a letter to your Senator and let them know you want their support for this very critical piece of legislation.
